About Sweet OffRoad

How it started

Sweet OffRoad began in 2021 as a side project of our parent company, Findlay 3D, back when we were just making Dash Ducks for fun. People loved them, so we started showing up to Jeep events and pop-ups to sell them in person.

That's when we noticed something. Show after show, we'd see Jeep vendors handing out discount coupons instead of actual products. People were paying to get into these events and walking away with nothing for their rig — just a code to use later online.

The idea that started it all

Then one day we watched an audio vendor install a new sound system into a Jeep right there at a show, and it clicked. That's the idea Sweet OffRoad was built on: bring real products to events, and install them on the spot. No coupon, no waiting — you drive home with the upgrade already on your Jeep.

Who we are

We're a two-person team. Alex handles the installs — he's always been the one who'd rather have his hands on a problem than read about it. I run the business and engineering side. Together we're the whole operation.

Where we're from

We're based just outside Findlay, Ohio, right in the middle of Northwest Ohio — a short drive from Toledo, home of the Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator, which we take a fair bit of pride in.

What we're building now

Right now we're also building out our own project rig, Nemesis Prime, using the same parts you'll find in our store — so everything we sell, we're testing on our own Jeep too.
